WARNING: HARD HAT REQUIRED

~Site Under Construction~

*random hammering noises*

Sooo.

I'm redoing my whole friggin' layout.

*drilling sounds*

Why? Cause...I know how to make it look good now.
Ever since taking Digital Bootcamp, I've been able to use HTML (and CSS!).

...

Whoa, now. Before you all go into shock, let me clarify--I, personally, can't actually do my own coding. *collective sigh of relief*

*raises voice over the sound of a jackhammer*

However, Dreamweaver can code--crappily, but hey. Who's judging? I only care about how the finished product looks, ya? ^_~

So expect to see a few changes around here soon. Granted, I still have to "finish" (i.e. actually start) making the banners and buttons and such before I can put it together, but AT LEAST I FINISHED THE BACKGROUND.

Bye, 'til then. ^__^

*attacks wood with a jigsaw*

(I don't even know I'm bothering to do this. It's not like I ever USE this thing anymore...x__x)

Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?!

So, tommorrow I get to get wrapped up in a long roll of receipts, spun around in circles really fast, and force-fed mass quantities of food in the most sloppy way possible (ie, by throwing gobs of it at me) while another kid shouts random, nonsensical advertising slogans over and over again into a megaphone.

Why is this, you ask?

Because it is Art, I say. Do not question it.

And the funny thing is...I have a really strong feeling that my professors will love it. I mean, they liked my last project, right? The one where I made a sculpture of my foot out of 4.5 lbs. of bubblegum....that I chewed myself. I bet they'll think THIS is brilliant. XD!

See, it is times like these that I really wish I could talk to Mrs. Mendes again. Sometimes, in this art bootcamp of mine, I will come across something that I just...completely fail to understand. Like, entirely. I am not used to that, and don't really know how to deal with it. I think it would help if I could have intelligent, analytical discussions about it with someone, but Mrs. Mendes is impossible to reach. My mom has this bad habit of claiming that artists whose work she doesn't understand are "psychotic," and I get the feeling that she'd think that a good 70% of the artists we deal with in class are simply crazy as the day is long. In fact, I bet her reaction would be shared by almost every person I know, save two: Mrs. Mendes, and possibly Charlie. Mendes is out of the question, like I said, but Charlie...well....for some reason, Charlie won't answer my goddamned emails. So unless he decides to suddenly stop ignoring me, I guess I'll just remain mystified most of the time. Laaa~!

(*inwardly fumes*)

Aaaaanyway, on a lighter note, I read the BEST BOOK EVAAAAR the other day. No, not Robert Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (although that IS my offical Bible, I realize that most people have zero interest in philosophy, and those who do may not understand it anyway...so I won't babble on about it here). It is Twilight, by Stephenie Meyers. And let me tell you, as far as fantasy books go, it KICKS HARRY POTTER'S ASS. I'm sorry, but it does. I read it in three days, despite the fact that I was at freakin' METROCON: AMANO'S WORLD that weekend. I literally couldn't put it down. I sat down in the middle of the dealer's room, surrounded by samurai swords and yaoi manga and plushies and other things that normally would have me entranced, and just read.

I read the sequel in a single sitting. 600 pages or something. Stayed up all night. But I couldn't help it! Edward Cullen is the most irresistable figure in the history of the universe. Now I finally understand why people think vampires are so sexy. @_@

So yeah, I recommend that every person in the world read that story. But be warned, ladies...you may be turned off of mere human men for a time afterwards. Edward Cullen is just...that good, dammit. So read it! Especially you, Alisa! I can totally see you getting into this fandom. Seriously. X3

Last thing--the music. Cookies to anyone who can name the electronica, post-punk, feminist band who does this cracky, hyper song (and no googleing!). Blame Maria for introducing this band to me in the first place, if you hate it. XD

The Random, Screwy Lyrics to the song, "Deceptacon":
Who took the bomp?

Every day and night
Every day and night
I can see your disco, disco dick is sucking my heart out of my mind;
I'm outta time,
I'm outta fucking time!
I'm a gasoline gut* with a vasoline mind
but,
Wanna disco?
Wanna see me disco?
Let me hear you depoliticize my rhyme:
One!
Two!
Three!
Four!
You got what you been asking for
You're so policy free
and fantasy wheels
and everything you think
and everything you feel is
alright
alright
alright
alright
alright!

I take you home now watch me get you hot.
You're just a parrot
when you're screaming and you're shouting
"More crackers please! More crackers please!"
You want what you want
but you don't wanna be on your knees
Who does your--who does your hair?

Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?
Who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong?
Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?
Who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong?

How are you?
Fine, thank you.
How are you?
Fine, thank you.

You bought a new van
the first year of your band;
You're cool and
I hardly wanna say
"not", because I'm so bored,
that I'd be entertained even by a
stupid floor--
A linoleum floor, linoleum floor;
Your lyrics are dumb like a
linoleum floor!
I'll walk on it!
I'll walk all over you!
Walk on it, walk on it,
walking one
two!

Who?
Who?
Who?
Who?
Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?
Who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong?
Who took the bomp from the bompalompalomp?
Who took the ram from the ramalamadingdong?

See you later.
See you later.
See you later.
See you later.

*Personally, I think that this part actually sounds more like,
"All my gasoline's gone", but no one seems to agree, so whatever. Neither of
the options actually makes sense, anyway... D:

Yay randomness? ^^;

Hi

Hi yall. Wazzup????

...I live?

...soo, desu ne. o__o;

Yeah, people, I guess I'm still alive and whatnot. Haven't been online in a while....a looong while....partly because my laptop died for a few weeks (though it lives now!! <3<3<3) and partly because of the whole...you know...going to college thing? Yeah. That. ^__^

I like UF so far. My roomies are cool, I'm in a suite-style apartment so I don't have to share a bathroom with a bunch of strangers (aaaaand I get to eat my suitemates' brownies/cookies/general baked sweet thing. Which are AWESOME, by the way. They're always cooking....be jealous....yes....<3).

I'm taking 17 credit hours my first semester (*wince*). But it should be ok! Cause...it's only 4 classes total....and three of them are art-related, so....>__>;;

Hey, it's my major, dude. STFU. t(-_-)t

Beginning Japanese is my toughest class. It's not HARD, per se...but it does move insanely fast. Like, it's only the second or third week into school or whatever, and I've already gotta pretty much be able to read and write in hiragana. Plus, knowing the basics of the first chapter and whatnot. Yay. So I made flashcards. It's working well. I'm surprising myself with my suddenly-existant awesome rote-memorization SKILLZ.

I've made friend, met people, gone places...there's a looot of stuff to do. @__@ Hopefully I shall be playing beer pong tonight for the first time. ^.^

My roomie's friend Zack should be there. Which is good. Cause Zack is friggin' hawt...>_<

Alright, I've gotta go get ready now. I've got my only early-morning class today (8:30 Digital bootcamp, yo!) in a few minutes. Heh, I know what you're thinking, "Whaaaat!? Danielle woke up EARLY just to get on the comp ad update xanga when she could've been using that time to SLEEP?? IMPOSSIBLE!!" Well, you'd be right. The only reason I'm up at this obscene hour is cause I didn't actually sleep last night. Duh. XD

Laterz.
